The 1500-06-15 is the Pyrotect Elite motorsport fuel cell in 15 gallon capacity, supplied without top lid for custom configuration. Pyrotect Elite fuel cells are manufactured to FIA and SFI safety specifications — the international standards for competition vehicle fuel containment — using a multi-layer internal bladder enclosed in an aluminium outer container that meets the structural requirements of closed motorsport technical regulations.

Why a FIA-Compliant Fuel Cell?

Standard fuel tanks — even quality motorsport aluminium cells without a bladder — can rupture, crack, or spill fuel in an impact. FIA-specification bladder fuel cells use a flexible, self-sealing inner bladder that deforms on impact without rupturing, and foam baffling that prevents fuel from sloshing freely if the bladder is compromised. For competition in FIA-regulated events across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, a compliant fuel cell is a mandatory safety requirement. Even for non-regulated track use, a bladder fuel cell provides significantly better fuel containment in a collision than an equivalent rigid tank.
