Deutsch Autosport ASU (Ultra-Miniature) Series — 5-Way Inline Socket (Female)

The Deutsch Autosport ASU 5-Way Inline Socket (Female) — Yellow Key (A) — SKU: ASU103-05SA-HE is a genuine MIL-spec-grade cable-mounted connector for 5-circuit sensor cluster and actuator bundle separable joins in professional race cars, rally, hillclimb, and high-performance builds across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. This is the socket half of the mated pair — Pin (Male) must be ordered separately to complete the join.

Shell and Circuit Count — ASU103, 5-Way

The ASU series is the smallest-format circular connector in the Deutsch Autosport family, designed for ultra-compact sensor sub-assemblies, low-channel signal interfaces, and weight-critical race car loom builds where the standard AS or ASX body is too large. The ASU103 is the ASU103 — ultra-miniature inline shell for free-hanging cable-mounted separable joins. At 5 circuits, this connector is suited to 5-circuit sensor cluster and actuator bundle separable joins. Common applications include 5-wire sensor clusters, combined power/ground/signal interfaces, 5-channel switch pack sub-connectors, and mixed signal and power actuator bundles.

Yellow Key (A) — Mis-Mate Protection

Yellow A is the first key assignment in the Deutsch Autosport keying system. It marks the primary 5-circuit ASU inline bundle at a separation point — the one disconnected and reconnected most often during race preparation and servicing. Where only one 5-circuit pair exists at the split, Yellow A is always the correct choice. It ensures consistent harness identification across multiple builds and events in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

Inline Configuration — In-Harness Separable Join

The inline connector places both halves within the harness run — neither is fixed to a panel or bulkhead. Both halves are cable-mounted and the mated join floats within the loom, held by harness sleeve or tie-wrap points. This is the standard format for engine-to-chassis harness splits, removable subframe sub-harness joins, and any separable interface along the wire run. Inline connectors are used by motorsport wiring specialists across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark wherever a fixed panel location is not required.
