Superseal 1.0 26-Way 90-Degree Boot — ECU Harness Connector Strain Relief and Sealing

The SSB-2690 is a Superseal 1.0 26-way connector boot with 90-degree cable exit, designed for use with MoTec M1 series ECUs and other motorsport electronics using the 26-way Superseal 1.0 primary connector format. The Superseal 1.0 boot provides environmental sealing at the cable entry of the ECU connector, strain relief for the harness at the connector rear, and a professional finished appearance on a completed ECU harness build.

Superseal 1.0 — The MoTec ECU Connector Standard

The Superseal 1.0 connector series is the primary harness connector format used on MoTec M1 series ECUs and selected other professional motorsport electronics. The Superseal design provides high contact density (1.0 mm pitch contacts) in a compact connector body with IP67 environmental sealing — combining the contact count required for a full-featured professional ECU with the environmental protection essential in a race car environment. The boot is the final component that completes the connector assembly, covering the wire entry side of the connector and providing cable support.

90-Degree Cable Exit — When to Use It

The 90-degree boot provides right-angle cable exit where the harness must exit perpendicular to the connector mating face — the most common angle for ECU connectors where the harness routes down or to the side behind the ECU mounting face. Boot angle selection should be based on the ECU mounting position, the direction from which the harness approaches the ECU, and the harness routing path behind the ECU. Selecting the correct boot angle avoids sharp bends in the harness immediately behind the connector that could fatigue wire insulation or apply stress to the contact crimp joints over a racing season.
