Multi-pump installations provide the combined fuel flow and pressure capability required by extreme-power competition engines where a single pump cannot meet the peak fuel demand — typically 700+ hp builds on petrol or high-power E85 installations where fuel volume demand is maximised.
When Is a Triple Pump Installation Necessary?
A single high-flow brushless pump (such as the DW650il at 650 l/h) can support approximately 750–800 hp on petrol at standard fuel pressure. Beyond this point — or on E85 builds where fuel volume demand is 30–40% higher than petrol equivalent — a twin or triple pump arrangement running in parallel is required to sustain adequate fuel delivery at maximum power without fuel pressure drop. The triple mounting kit provides the correct spacing, support, and sealing geometry for three pumps within the Nuke CFC or FST body.
