P9 White Momentary Push Button (N.O.) — Large-Format Motorsport Panel Switch
The P9-111129 is a P9 series white normally-open momentary push button switch for motorsport switch panel construction. The P9 is the large-format push button in the P-series range, providing a larger actuator face than the P3 or P7 that is easier to activate with gloved hands or in high-vibration cockpit environments, and provides greater visual prominence on the panel for circuit functions that benefit from easy driver identification. The white actuator colour is conventionally used for general circuit control and panel functions requiring a clean neutral colour with maximum contrast against a dark panel background.
P9 Series — Large-Format Motorsport Panel Push Button
The P9 large-format push button addresses a practical limitation of compact panel switches: under race conditions, with thick gloves and cockpit vibration, smaller switches require more precise hand positioning to actuate reliably. The P9’s larger actuator provides a bigger target for gloved activation, reducing mis-activation events and improving driver confidence when operating the switch panel at speed. For high-priority or frequently-used circuit functions — push-to-pass, launch control, data logger start, map selection — the P9 delivers both easier activation and a more prominent visual indicator of switch position on the panel face.
White Actuator — Application Context
The white P9 push button is suited to general circuit control and panel functions requiring a clean neutral colour with maximum contrast against a dark panel background. Consistent colour coding across the P9, P7, P5, and P3 switch families in a panel allows the same colour convention to apply regardless of switch series, creating a coherent panel language the driver can read quickly without diverting attention from the track for more than a moment.
Normally-Open Momentary Action
The N.O. momentary action closes the circuit only while the button is depressed, returning to open automatically when released. This is the correct action for all motorsport functions that must not remain active when the driver is not actively engaging them — starter motor, push-to-pass, horn, timed activation circuits. The default-open configuration also ensures the circuit is inactive in the event of accidental contact with the switch panel.
Available from Arctic Performance Parts
Arctic Performance Parts stocks P9 momentary push buttons in the full colour range to support professional colour-coded motorsport switch panel builds across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Lead time 1–2 weeks for quantities beyond current stock.
