The O-ring 10×2.5mm (SKU 265-10-208) is the small sealing ring fitted at the dipstick port of compatible Nuke Performance oil catch cans. This O-ring prevents oil vapour or crankcase gases from escaping around the dipstick stem when it is inserted, maintaining system integrity and preventing unmetered gas flow past the sealing point.

The Importance of the Dipstick Port Seal

The dipstick access port creates a potential leak path in the catch can housing if the O-ring seal is not maintained in good condition. In a closed crankcase ventilation system, any unsealed opening disrupts the calibrated system balance and allows unfiltered crankcase gases to escape.
