The M22759/16-18-5/95 is an 18 AWG Tefzel (ETFE) twisted pair in coloured conductors stripe colour combination, twisted at two twists per inch (2 TPI). This striped twisted pair format uses one solid-colour conductor paired with a matching white-stripe conductor of the same base colour — for example, a solid brown conductor paired with a brown-and-white-stripe conductor. This colour convention provides clear polarity identification within the pair: the solid conductor is conventionally the positive or signal lead, and the striped conductor is the return or reference lead. Using a striped conductor alongside a solid conductor of the same base colour means both conductors share the circuit’s colour code, while the stripe distinguishes the return from the signal. This is particularly important for thermocouple pairs, differential sensor circuits, and any circuit where reversal of the two conductors would produce an incorrect measurement or circuit damage.
