Raychem DR-25 — Military Specification Heat Shrink

DR-25 is manufactured to MIL-DTL-23053 specification, providing the material consistency, shrink temperature control, and long-term environmental resistance that professional motorsport harness builders specify by name rather than accepting generic substitutes. The cross-linked polyolefin construction provides 135°C continuous temperature resistance, resistance to fuel, oil, coolant, and hydraulic fluid, and UV resistance for externally routed harness sections. DR-25 is a single-wall (non-adhesive-lined) product providing insulation, chafe protection, and mechanical integrity rather than environmental sealing — for sealed applications, the adhesive-lined Raychem SCL or ATUM products are the correct choice.

3/8 Diameter — Application Range

The 3/8 DR-25 suits 8–14 AWG wires and small multi-conductor cable protection near moderate heat sources. Select the diameter that, when shrunk, fits snugly over the component without being so tight that it is difficult to slide over the wire before shrinking.
