The ASL series is a reduced axial-depth circular connector designed for installations where radial clearance behind a panel, bulkhead, or within a tight harness bundle prevents use of a standard-depth AS shell. It delivers the same gold-plated contacts, aluminium alloy shell, and push-pull locking in a shallower body. The ASL006 is the ASL006 — low-profile flange-mount shell for depth-constrained panel installations. At 5 circuits, this connector is suited to 5-circuit sensor cluster and actuator bundle separable joins. Common applications include 5-wire sensor clusters, combined power/ground/signal interfaces, 5-channel switch pack sub-connectors, and mixed signal and power actuator bundles.
Green Key (D) — Mis-Mate Protection
Green D is the fourth key colour — reserved for the fourth 5-circuit ASL flange bundle at a separation point carrying four parallel pairs. Combined with Yellow A, Blue B, and Orange C, Green D completes a fully locked four-key arrangement where no pair can be accidentally mated to another. Four-key configurations represent the maximum mis-mate protection available in the Deutsch Autosport system. They are used only on the most complex professional race car loom builds across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
Flange Mount — Panel and Bulkhead Installation
The flange connector mounts through a panel cutout via its integral aluminium flange — fixing one half permanently to the chassis, firewall, or bulkhead. The mating cable-mounted half plugs directly into the fixed half, creating a precise, repeatable separable interface at the panel itself. This is the standard for primary chassis separation points, engine bay to cabin firewall joins, and fixed bulkhead interfaces.
