ASDD Flange Configuration — How It Differs from Inline and Flange

The flange configuration mounts permanently to a panel, bulkhead, or chassis member using the integrated mounting flange — creating a fixed, chassis-anchored connector point. The cable harness plugs into the flange-mount half from the wiring loom side, making the flange connector the standard choice for firewall bulkhead connectors, chassis separation points, and any location where one connector half must be permanently fixed to the vehicle structure.

Contact Type — Socket (Female)

This is the socket (socket) half of the 9-way ASDD pair. It mates with the corresponding pin half of the same circuit count and key colour. Both contact halves are required to form a complete mated connector pair. ASDD contacts are ordered separately — select the appropriate contact part number for your wire gauge.

Orange Key (C) — Mis-Mate Protection

The third keying position — the orange c insert is used when three or more connectors of the same circuit count appear on a single harness, common in complex ecu looms and multi-pdm professional race car builds.
