Deutsch Autosport AS 10-Way Inline — Socket (Female) — Yellow Key (A)

The Deutsch Autosport AS 10-Way Inline Socket (Female) Connector with Yellow (A) Keying Insert — SKU: AS112-98SA is a professional MIL-spec-grade Deutsch Autosport AS series connector for ECU auxiliary sub-connector interfaces, multi-sensor harness separable joins, and compact motorsport loom separable points in race cars and high-performance vehicles across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Configured as a free, cable-mounted inline connector — both halves are cable-mounted within the wire run, creating a separable interface at any intermediate harness point without requiring a panel or chassis mounting location.

Deutsch Autosport AS 10-Way — 10-circuit Circuit Configuration

The Deutsch Autosport AS series is the professional standard circular connector format for motorsport wiring — aluminium alloy shell, gold-plated contacts, positive push-pull locking, and full MIL-spec environmental sealing for race-condition reliability. The 10-circuit configuration is used for ECU auxiliary interfaces, multi-sensor harness separable joins, and motorsport loom separation points where a single connector is preferred over two smaller ones in professional motorsport builds throughout Scandinavia. 10-circuit shell — additional capacity over the 8-way while remaining compact for ecu auxiliary and pdm sub-circuit joins.

Socket (Female) — 10-Circuit Contact Array

This is the socket half of the 10-way AS inline pair. Ten socket contacts receive ten incoming pin contacts — each completing one of the ten circuits across this multi-sensor or ECU auxiliary harness separable join. The corresponding pin half of the same circuit count and key colour completes the mated pair — both halves are required. AS contacts are ordered separately; select the correct contact part number for your wire gauge and current requirements.

Yellow Key (A) — Keying Position and Mis-Mate Prevention

Yellow A is the first key assigned in any Deutsch AS multi-connector keying plan — the default primary key that every harness builder reaches for when a harness includes multiple 10-circuit AS connectors at the same separation point. The Yellow A physical key tab on this inline half ensures it will only accept a matching Yellow A-keyed mating half — preventing cross-mating with any Blue B, Orange C, Green D, or Red N keyed half of the same circuit count. On a harness with two or more 10-circuit AS inline connectors at the same separation point, Yellow A identifies the primary pair — typically the most frequently accessed connector or the one carrying the most critical circuits. Professional harness builders across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark standardise on Yellow A as the primary key assignment for consistency across multiple builds and to simplify harness identification for mechanics and engineers at race events.

Inline Configuration — Harness Separation Without a Fixed Mount

The AS inline configuration places the separable join entirely within the harness run — neither connector half mounts to a panel or chassis surface. Both the pin half and the socket half are free, cable-mounted connectors that can be separated at any point along the wire run, providing complete flexibility in separation point placement without needing a suitable mounting surface.

The 10-circuit AS inline is used for ECU auxiliary sub-connector interfaces, multi-sensor harness separable joins, and compact motorsport loom separable points across race cars and performance vehicles in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The inline format is specified for engine-to-chassis harness separation points where no chassis panel is available for a flange mount, for removable subframe and component harness joins within the wire loom, and for any separable interface within the harness where both halves must remain free. The inline pair routes cleanly through the same harness trunk or loom sleeve, with both halves mated and the connector pair tucked into the harness bundle when assembled.
