The RT-375-1/8 is RT-375 clear (transparent) 2:1 heat shrink tubing in 1/8 expanded inner diameter (approximately 3.2 mm expanded, recovering to approximately 1.0 mm), supplied as full stick length (approximately 48 inches). RT-375 clear heat shrink is used in motorsport harness construction for circuit identification protection, visual inspection access, and clear insulation over splice joints and wire terminations where wire colour code visibility must be maintained. This diameter suits 22–26 AWG signal wires, sensor leads, and individual wire identification on standard signal-gauge conductors.

Clear Heat Shrink — Motorsport Applications

Clear heat shrink tubing provides the same insulation and mechanical protection as coloured heat shrink while maintaining visibility of the wire or component beneath. In motorsport harness work, the most common application is over-sleeving a printed TMS identification marker to protect the printed text while keeping it legible. Clear tubing is also used at splice joints and wire terminations where the underlying wire colour must remain visible as part of the circuit identification system, and at connector entry points where periodic visual inspection of wire insulation condition is needed without removing the protective sleeving.

1/8 Diameter — Application Range

The 1/8 RT-375 suits 22–26 AWG signal wires, sensor leads, and individual wire identification on standard signal-gauge conductors. Select the RT-375 diameter that, after shrinking, fits snugly over the wire or sleeve beneath without leaving the tubing loose or requiring excessive force to slide over the component before shrinking.
